Pokémon Adventures: Diamond and Pearl/Platinum, Vols. 1–9

Platinum, heiress to the wealthy Berlitz family, has to reach the top of Mt. Coronet to fetch a copy of her family crest. A mix-up leads her to take Diamond and Pearl, two friends practicing to be a manzai comedy duo, for her bodyguards. The three travel Sinnoh together, and Platinum falls for battling and starts taking on Gym Leaders. Team Galactic, led by Cyrus, keeps crossing their path. Galactic sets off a bomb at Lake Valor, captures the Lake Guardians, and Cyrus forges the Red Chains. The trio regroups, frees the guardians, defeats Team Galactic and calms Dialga and Palkia, but a shadow drags Cyrus, Dialga and Palkia into a portal above the Spear Pillar.
