Quick recap

Percy is 12, with dyslexia and ADHD. On a field trip to the Metropolitan Museum he is handed a pen that turns into a sword and accidentally vaporizes a teacher who turns out to be a Fury. At Camp Half-Blood he learns he is Poseidon's son, among satyrs, centaurs and children of the Greek gods. Zeus believes Percy stole his master bolt and wants it back before the solstice, or war begins. Percy picks Annabeth and Grover, and they cross the country by bus and train, facing Medusa, Echidna and the Chimera, all the way to the Underworld in Los Angeles.
