Paranormal Activity 2

In August 2006, Kristi and Daniel Rey's house is trashed, but only baby Hunter's room is untouched. Only a necklace is stolen. The family installs cameras. The nanny, Martine, senses spirits and burns sage; Daniel fires her. Ali, Daniel's teenage daughter, digs in and learns that demons make deals for wealth and power in exchange for a family's first-born son. Hunter is the first boy on Kristi's side since the 1930s. The demon attacks the dog, Abby, and Kristi is possessed. Daniel and Martine pass the demon to Kristi's sister, Katie, by burning a photo of her. Weeks later, a possessed Katie breaks in, kills Daniel and Kristi and takes Hunter. Ali, away on a school trip, comes home to the bodies.

1. Behind the scenesThe director left two weeks before shooting

   Kevin Greutert, of Saw VI, was pulled by Lionsgate to direct Saw 3D. Tod Williams took over the film in March 2010.

   Three weeks in, the footage was called a disaster. Production stopped, a writers' room was assembled and Christopher Landon rewrote the story.

3. CameoKatie and Micah return

   Katie Featherston and Micah Sloat reprise their roles from the first film. Sprague Grayden plays Kristi, Brian Boland plays Daniel and Molly Ephraim plays Ali.
