Luffy sneaks into Impel Down, the government's underwater prison, with Hancock's help, to get Ace out before the execution. On the first level, Crimson Hell, a forest of blades, he runs into Buggy, who is locked up there, and the two team up out of convenience against the guards. Together they descend through floors full of beasts and torture, with Buggy always trying to save his own skin. The alarm goes off, and at the end of the block the warden Magellan appears, a poison user and the terror of the prison.
