Quick recap
Filler arc. Team 7 guards Idate, a young man who hates ninja, during a race that settles a feud between two clans in the Land of Tea. The race has three legs: a run, a boat crossing, and the long stairway to a shrine. Rain ninja hired by the rival clan attack at sea. The villain is Aoi, a former Leaf ninja who once tricked Idate into betraying the village. Aoi wields the Sword of the Thunder God, which deflects both Rasengan and Chidori. Naruto beats him on his own, and Idate wins the race and saves his clan. Sasuke heads home stewing over the fact that Naruto won without him.
