Boruto's birthday is cut short when Naruto rushes off: Sasuke is back with a warning about the Ōtsutsuki clan. Boruto asks Sasuke to be his teacher and learns the Rasengan. At the Chūnin Exams, he cheats with a Scientific Ninja Tool, wins and is disqualified by his father. Then Momoshiki and Kinshiki storm the arena, and Naruto sacrifices himself to protect everyone and is taken. Sasuke, the Kage and Boruto go to the rescue. Momoshiki absorbs Kinshiki, but Boruto lands the final blow with a giant Rasengan boosted by his father's chakra. Before dying, Momoshiki leaves a mysterious mark on Boruto: the Karma.
