Quick recap

A Hollywood crew comes to St. Mary Mead to film the story of Mary, Queen of Scots. The star is Marina Rudd, making a comeback after a breakdown, married to director Jason Rudd and feuding with rival Lola Brewster. At the reception at Gossington Hall, local fan Heather Babcock drinks a poisoned cocktail. Everyone assumes Marina was the target. With her nephew, Inspector Craddock, doing the legwork, Marple works it out: years earlier, Heather, sick with German measles, hugged a pregnant Marina, and the baby was born severely disabled. Marina recognized her at the party and poisoned her. Marina doesn't live through the night.
