Quick recap

Miss Marple joins the board of a trust that has bought the Battledore, an old wooden warship, to reform young offenders. A trustee who has just visited the ship drops dead after taking poisoned snuff. Marple goes aboard to learn what he found, while Mr. Stringer investigates ashore. A lieutenant is killed with a sword and hanged from the mast, and the assistant matron is poisoned. Marple sets a trap and finds money stashed in a cannon. The killer is the first officer, Commander Breeze-Connington, who has been embezzling for years. They fight with swords, he disarms her, and Stringer knocks him out just in time. The captain is cleared and keeps his command.
