Quick recap

Retired from the LAPD, Bosch volunteers on cold cases for the San Fernando police. New DNA tied to a dead rapist casts doubt on Bosch's 1987 arrest of death row inmate Preston Borders, and Borders's lawyer accuses Bosch of planting evidence. The LAPD won't back him, so he calls his half-brother, Mickey Haller. Meanwhile, Bosch investigates the execution of two pharmacists and goes undercover as an addict in a Russian-Armenian opioid ring. Exposed, he fights for his life on a plane over the Salton Sea and takes the operation down. Haller proves a lawyer and a corrupt evidence clerk planted the DNA, and Borders goes back to death row.
