Quick recap

In an Indiana parking garage, a gunman fires six shots into the rush-hour crowd and kills five people. Police trace it to James Barr, a former Army sniper, and arrest him. Barr tells his lawyer only two things: they got the wrong guy, and get Jack Reacher. Reacher, who saw the news on TV, comes to help the prosecution, because he knows Barr has killed before. But lawyer Helen Rodin and Barr's sister make him doubt the case. He reaches a Russian gang run by the Zek, and Barr goes free.

  2. ChangeA shorter Reacher on screen

The Reacher of the books is 6'5". Tom Cruise is 5'7". Lee Child defended the choice, saying no actor of the character's size could also capture the feel of the book.
