Quick recap

In Derry, Maine, a creature that takes the form of a clown kills children. In 1960, seven outcast friends, the Losers, face the monster in the sewers and swear to return if it resurfaces. Thirty years later, Mike calls and summons everyone back. Each has a successful life but has forgotten most of it. The two-part miniseries alternates between both eras and stars Tim Curry as Pennywise, the face that scarred a generation. It is the starting point for anyone who grew up in the 90s.

  1. Behind the scenesShot in Vancouver on a doubled budget

The miniseries was shot over three summer months in Vancouver. The budget was $12 million, double a typical TV movie, to give it a feature-film feel. A hydro plant at Buntzen Lake stood in for the sewers.
