The girl in the group

In It, Beverly is the target of cruel rumors at school and an abusive father at home. Bill and Ben both fall for her. In the bathroom she sees the sink explode in blood that only she can see. The Losers become her refuge.

During the attack on the Neibolt Street house, Beverly is the one who wounds Pennywise with an iron spike. Weeks later, after she gets free of her father, the creature abducts her. She goes catatonic after seeing It's deadlights but wakes when Ben kisses her. In the final battle, she is the one who drives the pipe into Pennywise's face. Before they part, she has a vision of the group fighting the creature again as adults.

Back to Derry

In It Chapter Two, Beverly lives far from Derry and is in an abusive relationship. When Mike calls, she returns. For the ritual she needs an object from the past: Ben's love poem. She goes to fetch it from her childhood home and is attacked by It in the demonic form of Ingrid Kersh, the current resident.

Beverly tells her friends she has seen how they will die if they fail. In the final battle she helps Bill, Ben and the others overcome It's illusions and realizes that Ben wrote the poem. After the creature's end, she and Ben marry.
