Quick recap

At a Halloween party for teenagers in Woodleigh Common, Joyce Reynolds boasts that she once saw a murder. By the end of the night she's found drowned in the apple-bobbing tub. Ariadne Oliver was there and calls Poirot. Nobody believed Joyce, since she lied constantly. Poirot digs into old deaths in the village while Joyce's little brother is also killed. The truth: the one who really saw the murder was Joyce's friend Miranda. The killers are hostess Rowena Drake and garden designer Michael Garfield, who tries to kill Miranda at the end and is stopped.
