Quick recap

Poirot is holidaying at a hotel on an island off the Devon coast. Among the guests is actress Arlena Marshall, beautiful and provocative and hated by all. She flirts with young Patrick Redfern in front of his wife, Christine, and her stepdaughter, Linda. One morning Arlena is found strangled in a secluded cove. Her husband has an alibi, Linda blames herself for casting a spell on her stepmother, and the other guests keep secrets. Poirot breaks the timeline: the body seen first was Christine, fake-tanned and playing dead. Patrick and Christine planned it together to keep the money Arlena had been giving him.
