Quick recap

Cooper Holmes scares easily, and his family has just moved from Boston to a house deep in the Maine woods. His brother Mickey pranks him constantly, and Cooper hears two barking dogs nobody else can. Neighbor Margaret, Fergie, warns him the woods and house are haunted, then acts like she never said it: it was a prank Mickey set up. But the dogs are real. They're ghosts who want to be human again, and they swap bodies with Cooper and Margaret. The impostors take over at home, and Cooper's family considers calling animal control. The two lure the dogs back to the shack and reverse the swap. Almost: now they're stuck in the bodies of two chipmunks.
