Jaclyn lost her mother and lives with her Aunt Greta. The two move to Sherpia, a frozen village near the Arctic Circle. In front of every house stands a snowman with a scar and an evil grin. Jaclyn remembers a poem her mother used to read, warning about the snowman. Everyone tells her to stay off the mountain, where old Conrad lives with his wolf, Wolfbane. She climbs it anyway and, in an ice cave, meets the snowman, who claims to be her father. Jaclyn reads the end of the poem and sets him free. A monster bursts out from under the snow, and an army of snowmen crushes it. The twist: Conrad brought them to life. He's the sorcerer from the legend and Jaclyn's real father.
