Quick recap

The Mule sends Captain Han Pritcher and Bail Channis after the Second Foundation. Channis points to Rossem, but it was all a setup: the First Speaker appears, takes hold of the Mule's mind and sends him back to Kalgan, where he lives out his life in peace. Decades later, the Foundation fears it's being manipulated, and a secret group goes hunting for the Second Foundation. Young Arcadia Darell joins the search and escapes from Kalgan to Trantor with help from the trader Preem Palver, while Kalgan loses a war. The group decides the Second Foundation was on Terminus and has been wiped out. Wrong: it's on Trantor, and Palver is the First Speaker.
