Quick recap

Nearly 500 years after Seldon, Councilman Golan Trevize suspects the Second Foundation still exists and is sent away by Mayor Harla Branno on a secret mission to find it. He brings along the historian Janov Pelorat, who is looking for Earth, humanity's legendary home world. On Trantor, Speaker Stor Gendibal senses another force tampering with the plan. Trevize and Pelorat reach Gaia, a planet where everything shares one mind, and Pelorat falls for Bliss. Branno, Gendibal and Gaia end up at a standoff, and it falls to Trevize to decide the Galaxy's future. He picks Gaia, but walks away wanting to know why Earth was erased from the records.
