Quick recap

After Fallen, Daniel and Cam agree to an 18-day truce to protect Luce from the Outcasts, angels who sided with Satan and were left blind. Daniel hides her at Shoreline, a Northern California school full of Nephilim, the children of angels and humans. She learns about her past lives and sees the damage her love for Daniel did to the families she had. His secrets frustrate her, and she can't understand why Daniel and Cam are fighting on the same side. Outcasts attack a Thanksgiving party at her house. Overwhelmed, Luce jumps into a shadow to learn about her past, and Daniel follows.
