Shadow of the Giant

Conquered China rebels, and Han Tzu overthrows the emperor. Peter, still Hegemon, helps Alai take real control of the Caliphate and builds the Free People of Earth, a war-free world government that Alai and the charismatic Virlomi oppose. Bean and Petra hunt for their missing children and recover almost all of them. Virlomi's choices end in war with China, and the Battle School graduates accept Graff's offer to leave Earth. Bean, who won't stop growing, takes the three children who share his condition and leaves on a ship flying near light speed, to buy time for a cure. Peter makes peace with Ender over the ansible.
