Quick recap

Granolah is the last Cerealian, a people wiped out by Frieza with the Saiyans' help decades ago. He uses his planet's Dragon Balls to become the strongest warrior in the universe, at the cost of his own lifespan. The Heeters, a gang of brothers who serve Frieza while plotting against him, manipulate him into fighting Goku and Vegeta. Through the old Namekian Monaito, Goku learns the story of his father, Bardock, who once fought the Heeters. Vegeta finds his own path, closer to destruction than to the angels. Gas, the youngest Heeter, makes his own wish and becomes stronger than everyone. Goku fights using Bardock's style. Just as it seems settled, Frieza shows up in a new form, Black Frieza, and knocks out Gas, Goku and Vegeta.
