Quick recap

Dexter Morgan analyzes blood spatter for Miami police and, on his own time, kills murderers who slipped past the law, following his adoptive father Harry's code. A new killer starts leaving sex workers' bodies chilled and drained of blood, and seems to be sending messages only to Dexter. His sister Debra moves to Homicide and starts dating Rudy Cooper. Dexter recovers the memory of seeing his mother killed in a shipping container when he was small. In the end, Rudy is revealed as the Ice Truck Killer and Dexter's biological brother, Brian Moser. He kidnaps Debra and wants Dexter to kill her. Dexter refuses, kills Brian and stages a suicide. Sergeant Doakes keeps watching him.
