Quick recap

Robin receives a parcel at the agency holding a woman's severed leg. Strike suspects three men from his past: Jeff Whittaker, the stepfather he blames for his mother Leda's death; Noel Brockbank, an ex-soldier; and Donald Laing, whom he once sent to prison. Police chase a different lead, and the agency loses clients. Robin tells Strike she was attacked at university and dropped out. She's attacked again, survives, and defies Strike's orders, so he fires her. The killer is Laing, living under another name, and he ends up arrested. At Robin's wedding to Matthew, Strike shows up to ask her back.
