Quick recap

London. Cormoran Strike, a former military police investigator who lost part of a leg in Afghanistan, is broke and sleeping in his office after splitting with Charlotte. That same day Robin Ellacott arrives, a temp secretary just engaged to Matthew. Lawyer John Bristow hires Strike because he doesn't believe his adoptive sister, supermodel Lula Landry, jumped from her balcony. Strike and Robin talk to Lula's friends, neighbors and boyfriend. Her friend Rochelle turns up dead in the Thames. Strike learns Lula had made a will in favor of her biological brother. The killer is Bristow himself, after the inheritance. He's arrested, and Robin decides to stay at the agency.
