Quick recap

London. Cormoran Strike, an Afghanistan veteran who lost part of a leg, runs a failing detective agency and sleeps in the office after breaking up with Charlotte. Robin Ellacott arrives as a temp the day after getting engaged to Matthew. John Bristow hires Strike to prove that his adoptive sister, supermodel Lula Landry, didn't kill herself. The case runs through the fashion world, a rapper, Lula's troubled boyfriend and Rochelle, a friend who ends up dead. Strike finds a will in favor of Lula's biological brother and exposes Bristow himself, who killed her for the inheritance. With his fee, Strike clears his debts and gives Robin the green dress she once tried on.
