Mike Lowrey

A hundred million in heroin vanishes from the police vault, and Internal Affairs gives Mike and Marcus 72 hours. Max, Mike's informant and ex, tries to help and is killed by the kingpin Fouchet. The witness Julie will only talk to Mike, but she has never met him, so Captain Howard has Marcus pose as him. Mike moves into the Burnett house. At the end, at Opa-Locka airport, he is the one who shoots Fouchet and closes the case.

Eight years on, Mike is secretly dating Syd, Marcus's sister. In a raid on a Ku Klux Klan meeting, his own shot hits Marcus, and the partner starts thinking about leaving. Syd is undercover for the DEA, and when the baron Tapia kidnaps her and flees to Cuba, Mike leads the rescue. He crosses the island, watches the hideout go up and faces Tapia in a minefield. Marcus saves his skin and decides to stay.

Seventeen years later, Mike races Marcus to prove he's faster and is shot by Armando Aretas. He spends months in a coma, wakes up set on revenge and drifts from his retired partner. With Captain Howard dead, he rejoins Marcus and the AMMO team. Only then does he tell what he was hiding: 25 years earlier, undercover in the Aretas cartel, he fell for Isabel, and Armando may be his son. In the end Isabel confirms it, and Mike doesn't hit back when Armando beats him.

Four years after Isabel's death, Mike marries Christine, his physical therapist. The reception ends with Marcus in the hospital. Soon after, Mike and his partner try to clear Captain Howard's name, accused after his death, and he asks his imprisoned son, Armando, for help. The three become fugitives. At the end, the villain McGrath forces him to choose between Christine and Marcus. Mike shoots Marcus in the vest, since Marcus believed he couldn't die, and finishes McGrath.

Mike Lowrey began in a script written for Dana Carvey and Jon Lovitz, titled Bulletproof Hearts. Will Smith got the part, and Martin Lawrence got Marcus. The duo's fifth adventure has no official date.
