Kevin is a tall, two-eyed Minion who sees himself as a leader. He's the one who decided to leave the cave to find the tribe a new boss, and he's usually the one with a plan, even when it goes wrong.
With no boss to serve, the Minion tribe is miserable in a frozen cave. Kevin volunteers to go find a new villain. He takes Stuart and little Bob along. In 1968 the trio reaches New York and then Villain-Con in Orlando, where Scarlet Overkill hires them.
When Scarlet captures Stuart and Bob, Kevin sneaks into her castle alone for weapons and accidentally switches on one of Herb's machines. He grows into a giant, stomps across London, saves his friends and swallows Scarlet's missile. The Queen knights him. Soon after, he and the tribe follow a boy named Gru.
In 1976, Kevin works for 11-year-old Gru. When Wild Knuckles kidnaps Gru, Kevin, Stuart and Bob head to San Francisco to rescue him. Master Chow saves them from some thugs and teaches the trio kung fu. At Chinese New Year, the Zodiac Stone turns Kevin into a rabbit.
Years later, El Macho kidnaps many of the Minions and turns them into purple monsters with PX-41. Kevin is one of them. The villain sends him after Gru, and he breaks into the house to grab Margo and Agnes, but the girls trap him in the lab. Dr. Nefario's antidote turns him yellow again.
In the Minions & Monsters mid-credits scene, the old spell book from the story lands in the hands of Gru's Minions. Kevin, Stuart and Bob try it out with James, Henry and Agnes.
Like nearly every Minion, Kevin is voiced by Pierre Coffin, who also directed Minions.
