Godzilla

The ancient predator who became king of the Titans

Godzilla is a Titan from an age when Earth was far more radioactive. He lives deep in the ocean, feeds on radiation and surfaces whenever another monster threatens the planet's balance. To Monarch he's a dangerous ally. To anyone in his path, he's a disaster.

Godzilla

San Francisco

In 1954, the nuclear tests in the Pacific were really attempts to kill Godzilla. He survived and vanished into the ocean. Sixty years later, two MUTOs wake up and meet in San Francisco to breed.

Godzilla comes ashore in Hawaii and follows them to California. The fight wrecks much of the city and takes down the Golden Gate Bridge. He kills the male, and the female dies when he blasts his atomic breath straight down her throat. Exhausted, Godzilla collapses in the rubble. The next day he gets up and returns to the sea while TV news calls him a savior.

From the Sahara to Axis Mundi

A year later, Godzilla is asleep under the Sahara sand when a Monarch helicopter wakes him. He doesn't chase anyone. He just rises and goes on his way.

Later, Godzilla shows up inside Axis Mundi, the zone between the surface and Hollow Earth where time runs differently. He fights an Ion Dragon and throws it back down the tunnel, giving Cate, May and Keiko their chance to escape.

Titan X

In 2017, Lee Shaw uses a Titan lure to pit Godzilla against Titan X, a tentacled monster crossing the Pacific. Godzilla attacks, but the creature was only guarding an egg. When the egg is stolen, the Titan flees into the sea with Godzilla in pursuit. He only calls off the chase near Skull Island, Kong's territory.

The king

In 2019, eco-terrorist Alan Jonah frees Monster Zero, the three-headed Ghidorah, who wakes Titans all over the world. Godzilla takes on the dragon and is hit by the Oxygen Destroyer, a military weapon. He recovers in an ancient city on the ocean floor, and Dr. Serizawa sets off a nuke next to him to speed up the healing.

Godzilla comes back stronger and fights Ghidorah in Boston. Mothra dies and passes her energy to him. Glowing with heat, Godzilla destroys Ghidorah. The other Titans, Rodan included, bow before him.

Godzilla vs. Kong

Against Kong

In 2024, Godzilla suddenly attacks an Apex Cybernetics facility in Pensacola. Then he goes after Kong, who is being shipped to Antarctica, and the two fight in the middle of the fleet. Godzilla blasts a hole down to Hollow Earth with his atomic breath and fights Kong in Hong Kong. He wins.

His real target was Mechagodzilla, the machine Apex had been building in secret. Mechagodzilla attacks Godzilla, and a revived Kong steps in to help. Together they destroy the robot. Afterward, they stare each other down and go their separate ways.

The pink power-up

Godzilla now polices the surface and naps in Rome's Colosseum after killing the Titan Scylla. When he senses the threat coming from Hollow Earth, he soaks up energy from a power plant in France and a Titan in the Arctic, and his dorsal plates turn pink.

He goes after Kong in Egypt, and they only stop fighting when Mothra arrives. In Rio de Janeiro, Godzilla and Kong team up against the Skar King and the ice Titan Shimo. Once the fight is won, Godzilla goes back to sleep in the Colosseum.
