Anna

After the childhood accident, Anna loses all memory of Elsa's magic and spends years knocking on her sister's door, asking her to play. On coronation day she falls for Hans and agrees to marry him that same night. Elsa reacts, reveals her power and runs.

Anna goes after her with ice harvester Kristoff, his reindeer Sven and Olaf. At the ice palace, Elsa strikes her heart. The trolls warn that only an act of true love can save her, and Kristoff races her back to Hans, who leaves her to die and admits he only wanted the throne. Olaf keeps her warm. Freezing, Anna sees Hans raise his sword at Elsa and steps between them. She turns to ice, and her own sacrifice saves her. Afterward, she punches Hans and gives Kristoff a new sled.

On her first birthday with Elsa around in years, Anna follows the trail of gifts her sister has hidden around town. She soon notices Elsa is sick and, when Elsa nearly falls from a tower, takes charge: she puts her sister to bed and looks after her. Meanwhile, Kristoff tries to save the party from the little snowmen that keep popping up. For Anna, the best gift is having Elsa there.

At the first holiday with the castle open, Anna realizes she and Elsa have no traditions at all. When Olaf goes missing, she goes looking for him and, in the attic, finds, with Elsa, the chest of Olaf drawings and gifts she made for her sister during the closed-door years.

Three years later, Anna is happy in Arendelle and has no idea Kristoff spends the film trying to propose. When the voice calls her sister, she insists on going with Elsa to the Enchanted Forest. When Elsa sends her back, Anna gets trapped in a cave with Olaf and watches him fade, a sign Elsa has frozen. Alone, she sings "The Next Right Thing" and works out what to do.

Anna lures the Earth Giants to the dam her grandfather built and gets them to smash it, knowing the water will flood Arendelle. Elsa makes it back in time to save the kingdom. Anna is crowned queen of Arendelle and accepts Kristoff's proposal.
