Quick recap

Trez lives in Caldwell under another name, running from a fate his own people, the Shadows, forced on him: he was promised to the queen's daughter. His twin, iAm, has spent his life trying to keep Trez from self-destructing. Trez falls for Selena, a Chosen, but the pledge to the queen comes due, and iAm gets drawn into the palace, where he meets a maid. Selena is hiding an incurable illness, the Arrest. In the end, Trez and Selena are mated, but she dies of the disease, leaving Trez shattered, while iAm finds his own path in the Shadows' Territory.
