Quick recap

Years after Lestat withdrew, a Voice starts speaking in the heads of ancient vampires and orders them to burn the young. The fires spread worldwide, and the tribe falls apart. Vampires from every era return: Louis, Armand, Marius, Pandora, David, Maharet, Mekare and Gabrielle. Vampire scientists Fareed and Seth study the Blood, and Lestat learns he has a mortal son, Viktor. The Voice is Amel, the spirit living inside Mekare that binds all vampires. After deaths and betrayals, the elders accept that someone has to lead. In the end, Lestat takes in the core and becomes prince of the tribe, at his family's castle in France.
