Quick recap

Bond hunts Blofeld to avenge Tracy and seems to finish him off early on. Back on duty, M puts him on a diamond-smuggling ring. Bond takes the identity of smuggler Peter Franks and meets Tiffany Case, who moves the stones from Amsterdam to Los Angeles and Las Vegas. Along the way, assassins Mr. Wint and Mr. Kidd keep wiping out everyone in the pipeline. The trail leads to billionaire Willard Whyte, who is actually being held prisoner: Blofeld has taken his place and is using the diamonds to build a laser satellite that can destroy missiles and blackmail the superpowers. Bond frees Whyte and attacks the villain's oil rig off Baja California. On the cruise home, Wint and Kidd make one last try and fail.
