Bond saves a young woman trying to drown herself on a Portuguese beach: Countess Tracy di Vicenzo. Her father, Marc-Ange Draco, head of the Unione Corse crime syndicate, offers Bond a million pounds to marry her. Bond turns down the money but stays with Tracy, and Draco helps him find Blofeld. The villain lives atop Piz Gloria in Switzerland, posing as a count running an allergy clinic. Bond gets in disguised as a genealogist and uncovers the plot: hypnotized young women will spread a virus to wipe out crops and livestock worldwide. After escaping through the snow, he proposes to Tracy, and they wreck the base with Draco's men. They marry. On the honeymoon drive, Blofeld and Irma Bunt machine-gun the car, and Tracy dies in Bond's arms.
