Quick recap

Clay, a big-hearted MudWing, has spent six years in a cave under a mountain with four other dragonets: Tsunami, Glory, Starflight and Sunny. Their Talons of Peace guardians are training them to fulfill a prophecy that promises to end the war over the SandWing throne. When the NightWing Morrowseer orders Glory, a RainWing who isn't part of the prophecy, killed, the five run away. They soon fall into the claws of Queen Scarlet of the SkyWings, who makes them fight to the death in her arena. Clay befriends Peril, the queen's champion, whose scales burn everything. In the end, Clay finds his mother and siblings in the Mud Kingdom, learns the story of his own egg and stops believing he's less than the others.
