Quick recap

Two thousand years before the dragonets of the prophecy, the IceWing prince Arctic, an animus, runs away with the NightWing Foeslayer. Their son, Darkstalker, hatches under three full moons: he reads minds, sees the future and has animus magic. He claims to have a scroll that lets him use magic without damaging his soul. The seer Clearsight falls for him, but her visions show a dark future. Meanwhile, the SeaWing prince Fathom, also an animus, swears off magic after a massacre in the royal family. Darkstalker slowly shows who he is: he manipulates everyone with spells and forces his own father to kill himself. In the end, Clearsight steals the scroll, Fathom enchants a bracelet that puts Darkstalker to sleep, and she buries him under a mountain before leaving Pyrrhia.
