With their romance out in the open, Sydney and Adrian face pressure from both the Alchemists and the Moroi. A mysterious box puts Sydney on Jill's trail, and she sets off with Ms. Terwilliger and Eddie. The clues show that the witch Alicia is alive. In dreams with Nina, Adrian learns that her sister Olive is pregnant. At a dhampir commune in Michigan, Olive gives birth to Declan and dies, asking them to keep the baby secret. Sydney and Eddie infiltrate the Warriors of Light and learn Jill is set to be executed. Alchemists and guardians raid the compound, and Rose rescues Jill. Sydney and Adrian take in Declan. In the epilogue, a year later, Rose wears a ring from Dimitri.

   After the show's first season, Julie Plec talked about possible spin-offs for Adrian and Sydney. The series was canceled before it got anywhere near Bloodlines.
