Quick recap

Cybertron, millions of years ago. Sentinel Prime dies, and the Council of the Ancients picks an archivist named Optronix to lead the Autobots, over his objections. Renamed Optimus Prime, he must lead a war he never wanted against Megatron, who is after the Matrix to turn Cybertron into a warworld under his rule. Behind Megatron, mysterious backers pull the strings. In the end, Prime seems to defeat Megatron and drives off the Decepticons, resolved to stay on Cybertron to keep them from returning. Megatron is pulled from the rubble with no memory of what he saw inside the Matrix or why he wanted it.
