Quick recap

Geralt kills a monster near Kerack, gets arrested on a fraud charge and is released on bail. When he goes to collect the two swords he left at the city guard's depot, they're gone. With Dandelion's (Jaskier's) help, he tries to get them back. Along the way he starts an affair with the sorceress Lytta Neyd, known as Coral, and gets mixed up with a group of mages who have secrets of their own. At the same time he's caught in a fight between King Belohun and his sons over Kerack's throne. Every attempt to get out of the mess drags him deeper, and Geralt piles up setbacks and hard choices. An epilogue, set many years after the saga, closes the book.
