Quick recap

Young Ben kills his twin brother, and Carl deals with it himself in the middle of the night. The group meets Father Gabriel. Dale is bitten and vanishes, taken by hunters who eat people. Rick sets an ambush and wipes them out brutally; Dale dies soon after. Eugene confesses he isn't a scientist and there's no cure in Washington. In the capital, recruiter Aaron invites the group to Alexandria, a walled community run by Douglas Monroe. Rick becomes the town's constable but doesn't trust the residents, who seem too soft. The volume ends with Rick warning his group that, if needed, they'll take Alexandria by force.
