Quick recap

Four girls are left in the Selection, and King Clarkson does everything he can to push America out. The Northern rebel leaders, August and Georgia, reach out to Maxon and America: they want the castes gone and see her as a future queen. America learns her own father was helping them. She finally admits she loves Maxon, but her father dies and her history with Aspen puts everything at risk. On the night Maxon is to name his choice, Southern rebels storm the palace. The king, the queen and Celeste are killed, and Maxon is shot shielding America. He survives and becomes king. Aspen ends up with Lucy, one of America's maids. Maxon starts dismantling the castes, proposes, and he and America marry and are crowned.
