Quick recap

Kaoru Futami, a medical student, watches his father die of a disease that hits humans, animals and plants at once. In his father's papers he finds the name of a computer project, LOOP, which tried to simulate the emergence of life. Nearly everyone involved died of the same cancer. Kaoru meets Reiko and follows the investigation to a lab in New Mexico, where he learns how it all ties back to the first two books. Third and last volume of the trilogy.
