Quick recap

In 2040, Senator Charlie Roan, who watched her family killed on a Purge night, runs for president promising to end it. Leo Barnes heads her security. The NFFA revokes immunity for government officials, and Roan becomes a target on Purge night. Traitorous guards let paramilitaries in, and Roan flees with Leo. They are saved by Joe, a deli owner, his assistant Marcos and EMT Laney, and face murder tourists and the paramilitary leader Danzinger. A group captures Owens, the NFFA's rival candidate, and Roan persuades them not to kill him. Joe dies. Two months later Roan wins the election, and NFFA supporters respond with violence.
