Quick recap

Taryn writes Jude a letter, half apology, half explanation. She tells how Locke, the trickster in Cardan's circle, began courting her while Jude fought for a place at court. Taryn talks about living in Elfhame without her sister's nerve, why she kept the romance secret, and why she sided with Locke even knowing he was toying with Jude too. Along the way, she reveals secrets Jude never knew. The letter ends with Taryn set on marrying Locke and asking her sister to understand her choice.
