Quick recap

Harry wakes between life and death: he was murdered and is offered a chance to return as a ghost to find his killer. In Chicago he learns six months have passed, that the Fomor have filled the gap left by the Red Court, and that without a body he can barely use magic. The ectomancer Mort Lindquist is the only one who can hear him. The necromancer Corpsetaker, whom Harry killed years ago, kidnaps Mort and tries to take Molly's body. Inside Molly's mind, Harry finds the erased memory: he arranged his own death so he wouldn't become Mab's monster. He wakes alive on Demonreach and agrees to be Winter Knight, on his own terms.

  2. Behind the scenesA different audiobook voice

James Marsters, voice of the earlier audiobooks, couldn't record this one, so John Glover read it. Four years later, after fan requests, Marsters recorded a new version.
