Quick recap

Roland rides into Eluria, a deserted town, and finds a medallion on a corpse. Mutants knock him out. He wakes in a tent hospital run by the Little Sisters, nuns who are really vampires. Only the medallion he wears keeps them off him. One sister, Jenna, wants out of that life and secretly gives Roland an herb that restores his strength. During the escape, Jenna orders the tiny "doctors", insects that serve the sisters, to create a distraction. Big Sister Mary is killed by a dog marked with a cross. Roland and Jenna declare their love, but while he sleeps, she dissolves into the insects. Roland grieves briefly and goes back to hunting Walter, alone.
