Quick recap

France, 1956. A priest is killed in a church, and the Vatican calls on Sister Irene, who survived the demon Valak in Romania. She travels with Sister Debra. Maurice works at a girls' boarding school in Tarascon, not knowing he carries the demon, which kills its way toward the eyes of Saint Lucy, a relic hidden in the school's old chapel. Irene learns her family is tied to the saint. In the showdown, she turns a vat of wine into the blood of Christ and Valak is destroyed, for now. Maurice is freed and survives, and Irene gets her faith in herself back.
