Quick recap

Los Angeles, 1973. Social worker Anna Tate-Garcia, a widow with two kids, takes the case of Patricia Alvarez, who locked her sons in a closet. That same night, the boys turn up drowned. Anna learns they were running from La Llorona, the spirit of a woman who drowned her own children centuries ago, and that La Llorona now wants Anna's kids, Chris and Sam. Father Perez points her to former priest Rafael Olvera, a curandero. Patricia, who blames Anna, helped La Llorona reach the children but repents at the end. With a cross carved from the tree where La Llorona lived, Anna destroys her. The family survives.
