Quick recap

Lorkin lives in the Traitors' Sanctuary and tries to learn their stone magic, but the rebels won't trade it for the Healing he knows. In Arvice, Dannyl loses face with the Sachakan elite for letting Lorkin go, and the Ashaki start circling Elyne's new ambassador, Tayend. In Imardin, novice Lilia falls for Naki; high on roet, the two try out a black magic book, and Lilia ends up convicted of learning it and locked in the Lookout with her magic blocked. Sonea catches the Thief Hunter, Lorandra, who lands in the same prison. Lilia escapes with her and is taken to Skellin, Lorandra's son, who wants to pry black magic out of her. Anyi rescues her, and Lilia finds out Naki was working for Skellin.
