Georgie and Mandy get married, police raid Meemaw's gambling room and she ends up under house arrest. A paper Sheldon publishes brings grad school offers, and he gets ready to leave for Caltech. George lands a great job offer but dies of a heart attack at work. At the funeral, Sheldon imagines everything he could have said to his father. In the last episode, he agrees to be baptized to please Mary and leaves for California. Years later, adult Sheldon writes his memoir alongside Amy.
