Quick recap

Sheldon turns up at a train station in Arizona with nothing and comes home. To research what he wants, he agrees to become a junior professor and teach. Penny trades acting for a job as a pharmaceutical sales rep, set up by Bernadette. Leonard and Sheldon co-write a paper that wins an award, and both their mothers come for the ceremony. Howard suddenly loses his mother, and the gang rallies around him. In the finale, Amy asks Sheldon for a break, Leonard admits he kissed another woman on the ship, and the two still head to Las Vegas to get married. Alone, Sheldon opens a ring box.
